Low Impact Development Manual Approved Print E-mail

The Board of Commissioners has approved the adoption of a Low Impact Development Manual which may be used as an optional design tool in the Town's site plan review process.  Low Impact Development, or LID, offers developers, contractors and homeowners alternative options for stormwater management by utilizing natural landscape features to filter, detain and infiltrate stormwater runoff onsite.  The LID Manual can be downloaded from our website on the Inspections page under Zoning Applications.   Please feel free to come by the Planning and Inspections office at 102 Dolphin Street if you would like further information on the LID Manual or LID practices, or call our office at 252-393-7901.
