Currently, the Town of Cape Carteret, along with Cedar Point and Peletier, share the 28584 zip code with the Town of Swansboro. For many this has become a problem in numerous ways. It has resulted in errors in tax collections, insurance ratings, calls for jury duty, and other personal items. Additionally, Carteret County has discovered that funds from Sales Tax Distributions are being sent to Onslow Conty and Swansboro rather than going to Carteret County and the Towns of Cape Carteret, Cedar Point, and Peletier. Please help us make a difference by showing your support for a new zip code by clicking here and answering a few questions. |
