Salvation Army Needs Your Help Print E-mail
Due to economic conditions, the Salvation Army has seen a significant increase in the public's need for food assistance and as result are experiencing a short supply of their food pantry. To help raise funds for food purchases, keetle drives have been arranged in the area, one of which will take place at MacDaddys in Cape Carteret Saturday July 17th, as well as the following Monday through Saturday (July 19-24). Your help is requested in making this event successful. The Salvation Army needs volunteers to "ring the fundraising bell"  from noon until 7 pm each of those days. Volunteers will be asked to fill two hour time slots. Please contact Devin Sassano with the Salvation Army at 252-241-4407 to find the time that's right for you. If you are unable to volunteer a couple of hours to help ring the bell, please at least stop by and make a contribution.
